Question by lÑ"t'ร ฬгเtÑ" t๏ à¹"Ñ"คtÑ'ღ: I have bumps inside my vagina but the doctor didn't see anything unusual?

I've had these bumps for about a year, or maybe I've had them forever and I've only just noticed. The doctor checked me down there a few months ago and she said she didn't see anything unsual. So, it's just something normal that I don't know about. But what would it be... I'd really like to know. I'm fourteen and I've had sex education and all that, but I don't know what these lumps are inside me. Gah, she (the doctor) even asked if I was sexually social, and I was like... what's that? I've tried fingering myself a few times but it hurts. Anyway, back to the bumps, whatever they are. There's like two, as far as I can notice. They're like mini flaps. (You know how you have vagina flaps, well these are like mini ones... but inside my vagina. They're on the same vaginal wall, I think. And by vaginal wall I mean, like, on the same side, if you know what I mean? I'm sorry I'm not really good at describing stuff. Sometimes I can see it very clearing and it's at the tip of my vagina (inside), if you know what I mean? But sometimes it's a bit further down. When I touch it, it doesn't hurt or anything, plus it's not hard. Soooo.... any ideas what it might be? Or maybe just a website that might help me...

What you're describing is your vaginal rugae. :) They are ridges or bumps in the opening third of your vagina. They are completely normal, and meant to be there.

Your vaginal walls have these ridges to create texture. They both allow your vagina to stretch and expand during intercourse, and give a male partner a pleasurable sensation. They tend to appear during puberty, and can disappear again after menopause.

Don't panic. You're normal. :)
